Be cautious of e-mail and Web sites pretending to represent a legitimate company that ask you to provide confidential and financial information.

It has recently come to our attention that fraudulent emails (also known as “phishing” emails) are being circulated by persons claiming to be employees of Sprott Asset Management. These persons are contacting individuals who have posted their resumes on job search sites and are claiming to be managers at Sprott Asset Management offering employment with Sprott.  Please be advised that this is not how Sprott conducts its hiring and recruitment process. No Sprott entity would ever request a potential employee to advance funds. These fraudsters have hijacked the Sprott name in the hope that a recipient will respond. Any response made to these emails are at the respondent’s risk and we strongly recommend that recipients disregard and delete such emails.  The Sprott organization is not connected in any way to these persons and assumes no responsibility whatsoever for any losses incurred by recipients who choose to respond to such emails.
