John Wilson to join Sprott as Senior Portfolio Manager
TORONTO, January 24, 2012- Sprott Asset Management LP ("Sprott") is pleased to announce that John Wilson will join Sprott as Senior Portfolio Manager, subject to regulatory approval. In the coming months, Sprott expects to launch new investment solutions with core Canadian equity and core Canadian balanced mandates for which John will serve as the lead manager.

Mr. Wilson has over 25 years of investment and business experience. Most recently, he was Chief Investment Officer of Cumberland Private Wealth Management. Previously, Mr. Wilson was the founder of DDX Capital Partners, an alternative investment manager. Prior to that, he was Managing Director and a top-rated technology analyst at RBC Capital Markets; and previously, a Director at UBS Canada. Mr. Wilson is an MBA graduate of The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
